Ship cleaning

Besides waste processing, another important activity for ATM is cleaning tanks and ship holds. At ATM’s jetty, seven ships can be serviced at the same time: to present waste substances, on the one hand, and to clean oil tankers, on the other hand. Chemical tankers, oil fuel ships or oil tankers that transport mineral oil have to be cleaned regularly. Butterwash machines are used to clean these ships with warm water under high pressure. Any hazardous and/or noxious odours that are released are pumped / sucked and transported away for incineration via the gas extraction system. The storage tanks on land have also been fitted with this system. Of course, ATM also works on a 24-hour basis for the shipping industry, which means that this service can also be offered on Sundays and public holidays.
